Lorenz Lindenthal
XRD Wizard & SEM Oracle
Lorenz achieved his both Bachelor and Master degrees in Technical Chemistry at TU Wien. During his Master’s programme he spent an Erasmus exchange semester at Uppsala University in Sweden. He specialized in physical and analytical chemistry and joined TUCAS already for his Master thesis, where he investigated the structural and chemical properties of several perovskite catalysts. He is currently a PhD student within the TUCAS project, focussing on several experimental methods for materials’ characterization, such as XRD, SEM, and XPS, combining them with catalytic testing.
Furthermore, Lorenz likes Mathematics (he also studies in the Bachelor programme Technical Mathematics at TU Wien) and is part of the Young European Catalysis Network (YEuCat).
He sometimes refreshes his scientific mind on the field hockey pitch and is a passionate board game player.
